Dear German teachers, translators and interpreters, linguists, network, I am pleased to share the publication of our recent article in Revista Signos. Estudios de Lingüística, entitled: “Evidence of variation in the mastery of German morphosyntax independent of learning strategies: A study on L2 acquisition”, authored by Felipe V. (Facultad de Comunicaciones y Artes UDLA / Centro CIPAES-UDLA) and Dr Lucía Castillo Iglesias (Universidad de Concepción). Based on data from a sample of secondary school students enrolled in German schools in Chile, the results indicate that variation in German morphosyntactic performance might be primarily explained by the complexity of the linguistic structures assessed, rather than by the use of learning strategies.
