In light of the judgment of the Hon’Ble Apex Court in the case of In Re Zudpi Jungle Lands reported in 2025 SCC Online SC 1227, the Bombay High Court, Nagpur Bench takes cognizance of the fact that Zudpi Jungle Lands cannot be diverted for non-forestry use sans sanctions from appropriate authorities. An International Agricultural Convention Centre involving considerable state exchequer is being constructed on PDKV Land classified as Zudpi Jungle without valid sanctions. Although respondents have been directed to furnish their replies, this case still has a long way to go!
