London, Derbyshire, AI Leadership Training and 10 Downing Street... What does real leadership look like in this AI-infused world we keep talking about? Yesterday, I had the privilege of seeing it in action. At Stonebroom Primary and Nursery School in Derbyshire, I spent the morning with ten exceptional headteachers and senior leaders from the Christopher Nieper Trust. We explored the real work of leading through change, which encompasses exciting opportunity, for sure, but also new safeguarding and privacy challenges. We also talked through ethical decisions around student data, and building the kind of curriculum that prepares young people for jobs and industries that are only just beginning to emerge. The conversations and themes were purposeful and engaging. Every leader in the room brought curiosity and care, grounded in what matters most for their communities. This is what it means to take AI seriously and it was a real honour to be a part of the conversations. Back in London and representing Goodnotes, I had the chance to hear from the Prime Minister on AI and the future of technology in the UK. It was good to see this topic receive national attention. The real impact, though, came from Tilly Lockey, whose talk in the Downing street Garden on how tech can restore independence and possibility was honest and totally unforgettable. Being invited to 10 Downing Street is a genuine honour. But the most important work today undoubtedly happened in a Derbyshire classroom with leaders ready to ask hard questions and take meaningful action. At Good Future Foundation, everything we offer is totally free because we believe schools deserve the right support from the very beginning. Now is the moment to get AI right, and that means helping leaders take their first steps with confidence. If your school or trust is starting to explore what responsible, meaningful use of AI could look like, we are here to support! Shout-out to Callie McCormack and Esther Cheng for supporting everything to make the day happen, Nebahat Arslan for representing GFF at the House of Lords (!) and Turnstile for sound-tracking these escapades on national rail ๐ฉต
