Czech ophthalmology ranks among the best in the world 👀 In our small country, we have pioneers in AI, surgery, treatment methods, and more. However, these people are not as visible as sports stars or politicians. One such institution, in my opinion, is the Eye Clinic of University Hospital Ostrava. Under the leadership of Jan Nemcansky, Juraj Timkovič and Lukáš Kolarčík. After nearly 2.5 years, I had the chance to return to my home workplace for a longer period, though this time in the colours of ZEISS Medical Technology. I’m incredibly grateful that, during the pre-Christmas period, I was able to join my former colleagues and, most importantly, friends to test the latest technology #teamZeiss has to offer – the Artevo 850, 3D surgical microscope, including the new ultra wide-angle lens for Resight. Hats off to the performance of the entire clinic. They truly don’t have it easy… Thanks to Adam Kopecký, Michal Koubek, František Benda, Jiří Kunc, Ondřej Polách, Nikola Schichelová, František Prchal, Petr Jež, Ivo Lukeš and many more.
