Ive often been asked if I would be a mentor, for young folks moving into business from education, for military leavers moving into the corporate environment etc. The truth is, I’ve not had time, or as much time as I would have liked. Aside of my own job, i've been busy mentoring these fine young adults, For whom it should be made clear, have forged their own career paths with their own self determination and grit. First is the Gentleman on the left, a 5 year veteran of HM Armed Forces, Who then left the military to become a Paramedic, who spends his working days, selflessly saving lives and dealing with things the rest of us would rather not want to see. The Gentleman in the middle just graduated Royal Navy training last week. In fact, this young man graduated from University (With honours) and now the Royal Navy, all within 11 months. He is now training to become a Weapons Engineer. The young Lady to the right, whilst holding down a part time job, is studying Linguistics at Manchester Metropolitan University and is now enrolling to become an Officer within the military herself, once her education is complete. All three of them display passionate determination to be successful at everything they do. A commitment to being the best version of themselves, whilst being full of humour, positivity, passion and civility. Ive no idea where they get it from, I mean, I am just their father 😉
