Hello everyone, I am thrilled to announce some exciting news– the launch of an IOI mentorship program designed for Nepal (visit: nepal.csprep.org to learn more)! Change often finds its roots in the community, and Nepal, unfortunately, has yet to make its mark on the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), a revered platform showcasing the exceptional abilities of young minds in competitive programming. But today, we're at the crossroads of change. We're introducing a mentorship program not just to elevate our students' skills, but also to weave a tighter fabric within Nepal’s tech community. At the heart of our initiative is mentorship. We are lucky to have mentors who are committed to guiding and inspiring our talented students. If you are someone who is passionate about coding and wants to make a difference, I urge you to consider being a mentor by signing up here [https://lnkd.in/edrjzHwm]. For prospective mentors specifically– you don’t need to be a competitive programming guru to be a part of this program. If you've got a handle on computer science, and algorithms, and a passion for helping out, you're exactly who we're looking for. We're addressing this challenge head-on with a flipped classroom approach. No long lectures here – students will dive into handpicked learning materials on their own. What we're seeking from mentors is a commitment to hold office hours weekly, offering support to our students(1-2 hours/week, with a flexible schedule). If you have any questions about the initiative or would like to get in touch with us, please visit nepal.csprep.org.
