My heart is heavy as I write this, seeking your support and love for my close friend, Brunno Puna. Right now, he is facing an unimaginable challenge—wrongfully detained by ICE in an immigration center, despite being one of the kindest souls I know. He came to the United States seeking asylum, fleeing religious persecution in his native Africa. It breaks my heart to see that he is unjustly detained and separated from his loved ones instead of finding safety and freedom.
