Dear LinkedIn Family, I hope this message finds you well. Did you know Nepal has participated in nearly all International STEM Olympiads, except for the International Olympiad of Informatics (IOI)? This absence has left Nepal lagging in competitive programming, which could significantly impact the learning experience and growth of Nepalese students interested in tech. I am excited to share that I am working on an initiative to address this gap and foster the involvement of Nepalese students in IOI. Our goal is to nurture and support talented high school students in Nepal interested in coding and competitive programming by providing them with dedicated mentors, curated resources, and quality instruction. To make this initiative a success, we seek individuals passionate about supporting and guiding students through coding mentorship. We have received support from software engineers in various countries, giving us confidence in the effectiveness of this model. If you have prior experience or advice to offer, your input would be greatly appreciated. Ask: We are seeking mentors to train the next generation of IOI medallists in Nepal. This is a flexible opportunity where you can contribute from answering programming questions on Discord channel to holding weekly office hours. This opportunity allows both you as well as us for a greater social impact and enables us to pay it forward to future engineers in Nepal. Please fill out this form linked below, and I will schedule a quick chat to discuss the specifics. https://lnkd.in/e3N-iXvP Together, let's create a pathway for the next generation of programming enthusiasts and IOI medalists in Nepal and inspire a passion for learning and competitive programming among talented high school students. Best regards, Jivan
