3 years ago exactly on this same day I joined China Mobile International Limited as the first ever Graduate Trainee for the UAE office. As a fresh graduate from college with few months of corporate experience it was a huge step for me to move away from my home country of Pakistan and live all by myself again but in a different country (UAE) - a country that I barely knew about. I was fortunate enough to work across UAE and Hong Kong with various departments with extremely talented individuals who helped me step out of my comfort zone and grow as a professional. I feel honoured to be associated with a company that is the biggest telecommunications company out there and is playing a crucial role in transforming the digital landscape with its cutting edge technologies everyday. I would like to take this opportunity to give a shout out to my team Shailesh Ranjan, Sana Kamran, and Noha Soliman who have always been supportive of me and have played a pivotal role in my professional development. Special thanks to Alex Lee Ying-Shueng for believing in me and providing me with this opportunity. I would also like to say thank you to my fellow colleagues Jotham Varghese and Claudia Hage for making my time memorable at CMI. Super excited to see what the next phase of my life entails, will be updating about it very soon.
