Mourning the untimely loss of a devoted academic and practitioner, Dr Asghar Dadkhah, at the age of 64. Asghar was a professor at University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, Tehran, Iran and a visiting professor at Kyushu University in Japan. He was also a founder of Special Olympics in Iran. Asghar was a prolific traveler who presented at many conferences internationally and accompanied Iranian children and adults with intellectual disabilities to Special Olympics games. He was an expert on the Japanese holistic method of Dohsa-hou, a psychological rehabilitation for improving human physical and mental state. Asghar and I grew up together as cousins in Semnan, Iran, the first in our extended family to attend college, and achieved the highest education possible. He will be sorely missed. May his Soul Rest In Peace (Rouhash Shaad Baashad).
