Get in. Get it done. Get out. When he graduated with a first class honours degree in 1922 from Cambridge, Vladimir Nabokov subsequently wrote that his almost effortless attainment of this degree was one of the very few ‘utilitarian’ sins on his conscience. Today, I regrettably share his sentiments, albeit with immense gratitude to my supportive family, amazing mentors, overachieving friends and the Almighty. I’ve had a tremendously good time at UCL and met some truly exceptional individuals—legends who easily dwarf me when we pile up accomplishments, accolades and aspirations. To the class of 2020: “Chaos isn't a pit. Chaos is a ladder.”
