Solo #exhibition of Laura Angell's textile/photography work at Taste Contemporary in Geneva Research on pornographic images from the early 20th century was the starting point for Laura Angell’s exploration of established clichés of female sexuality. This resulted in a body of work, entitled ‘Awkward Position’. Using embroidery to cover sections of the original image and employing tropes such as bunnies, cats and beavers, she seeks to empower and strengthen her subjects in her own unique way.
