Doctoral dissertation of the German rocket scientist Kurt Debus, the first director of Kennedy Space Center (1962-1974): "On the determination of the characteristic values of voltage spikes using indicating measuring instruments", 1939, TU Darmstadt. He was one of the prominent German engineers captured by Allied forces at the end of World War II and brought to US for developing American space program against the Soviets.
