It was late 2018 when Fabio Biavaschi contacted Enrico Baleri with the idea of translating his “Perline” (literally, small pearls) from Italian to English, to help spread his voice and ideas. For several years Enrico had been actively entertaining his followers on Facebook, posting his Perline – memories, stories, insights, thoughts, as well as commentary and sharp criticisms on the design world – and acting as a connection to post-war Italian design and its famous names.
