Most people talk about change. Today our advocates walked into Congress to create change. Over 200 youth mental health advocates lobbied to ask for support and co sponsor our H.R 8657 also known as Campus Lifeline Act. This is the first-ever Active Minds-authored bill inspired by two young adults from Active Minds over 10 years ago, who successfully advocated to include the 988 Lifeline on the back of student ID cards at the University of Dayton. Today, our Campus Lifeline Act aims to put the 988 Lifeline on the back of all student IDs across the country and expand the Garrett Lee Smith Memorial Act to strengthen grant funding for youth and young adults on campuses nationwide. Youth have long been excluded from decisions that directly impact their mental health, today we pushed the conversation to change that. This is more than a moment, it’s a movement. #ActiveMindsHillDay26
