The Santa Marta conference showed that governments are ready to confront not only fossil fuels, but also the deeper injustices that keep countries trapped in them, from debt to the lack of climate finance. Now the momentum must grow. Santa Marta must help set the stage for a #FossilFuelTreaty and a just transition that protects workers, women and communities.
