I have been thinking deeply about the future of International Relations graduates in Pakistan. What if we completely reimagined the International Relations Department at the University of Karachi? Imagine an IR department equipped with open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools, podcast studios, AI, big data analytics, GIS, policy simulation labs, cybersecurity awareness, and modern research platforms, designed to produce graduates who are not just academically strong but globally employable. I would be taking this task from my own money! for Karachi, for Karachi University (mother of Karachi) & for Pakistan. It's time to bridge the gap between academia and the real world. Pakistan's universities should be producing analysts, strategists, researchers, and policy professionals ready for the future not just degree holders.
