Fit for the Job at the NOV Annual Congress 2026! 🏥 Last friday, the NOV Annual Congress 2026 took place in Utrecht. The national congress of the Dutch Orthopaedic Association, held this year under the theme ‘Moving Together’. On behalf of the Department of Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine at Amsterdam UMC, Tom Wormhoudt presented on Fit for the Job: an app-driven intervention to encourage hospital employees to integrate short exercise snacks into their working day, aimed at improving vitality and sustained employability among healthcare workers. The congress theme 'Moving Together' touched on exactly that message: lifestyle integration is not only relevant for patients, but it starts with us as healthcare professionals. A big thank you to the Nederlandse Orthopaedische Vereniging (NOV) for the opportunity to bring Fit for the Job to this stage! A special mention also to Pim van Klij, Sita Coenjaerts and Pirette Claes for their valuable presentations on hip injuries in the female athlete. An important area of research within our department.
