📣 We’re pleased to share that Laura Fankhauser, an ALADDIN* project fellow at the European Medicines Agency, has successfully published her work “Paediatric Phase I/II Clinical Trial Assessments Under the New EU Clinical Trial Regulation: A Descriptive Analysis”: https://lnkd.in/eV9bbnUf 🔬 Despite EU rules designed to harmonise how clinical trial applications for children are evaluated across member states, this study shows that significant differences remain in how countries assess these clinical trial applications — affecting which evidence is required, how existing paediatric drug development plans are used, and whether teenagers can join adult trials. These inconsistencies risk creating unequal access to innovative treatments for children across Europe. 🌍 *ALADDIN, a European collaborative project created to make paediatric oncology drug development knowledge more accessible to a wide range of stakeholders.
