My latest column, “মোটরসাইকেল সংস্কৃতি : হারিয়ে যাওয়া প্রাণ” has been published today in Kaler Kantho. In this column, I explore how the rapid expansion of motorcycle use in Bangladesh has gradually evolved into a broader social and cultural phenomenon. While motorcycles have undoubtedly improved mobility and economic opportunities, reckless riding, unsafe driving practices, inadequate enforcement of traffic laws, and a growing culture of risk-taking are claiming far too many precious lives. The column argues that road safety is not merely a transport issue-it is a matter of public health, governance, civic responsibility, and social awareness. Saving lives requires a collective commitment from policymakers, law enforcement agencies, educational institutions, families, and every road user. #RoadSafety #MotorcycleSafety #PublicPolicy #Governance #Bangladesh #TransportPolicy #CivicResponsibility #PublicAwareness #Opinion #KalerKantho https://lnkd.in/gA8rJUWR
