History Of Oje-owode Oba Oje 2The first Oloje was Olaiduba. Oloje was a masquerade (Egungun) title . He was a carpenter by trade but Alaafin stopped him from doing his carpentry work on the promise that Alaafin would provide for Olaiduba and his household. Some people say Olaiduba was from tapa, but his name Olaiduba disproves this. His father, ljon, was a tapa man. Olaiduba was an important chief in his town before Alaafin sent for him. But it was at saki that Alaafin installed him as the first Oloje then based at saki. When Olaiduba died, his son Olukesin Aremo became Oloje and asked for a place to settle. His request was granted and the place he settled was name after him as Oje-owode before the late oba came after that Abdulrasheed Oyinloye became Oloje on April 15, 2005 up till date.
