Bilingual Legal Professional | Interested in Cross-Border, Regulatory & International Law
I started the year with a clear set of goals, one of which is to attend more networking events and expand my professional network. I’m especially interested in connecting with individuals working in areas of law I hope to pursue, as well as academics exploring topics that align with my interests. Last week, I took a step toward this goal by attending Houston Young Lawyers Association (HYLA) Introduction to Mexican Law event. I appreciated the opportunity to hear a panel of dual-licensed attorneys and cross-border professionals discuss the fundamentals of Mexican law and share insights from their practice. This topic has interested me since my junior year of my undergraduate degree, when I explored cross-border issues more deeply while researching transnational organized crime along the U.S.–Mexico border. It was also a great opportunity to connect with attorneys who shared encouraging advice as I embark on my journey toward law school. I’m grateful for the welcoming environment and look forward to attending more events like this! If you know of any international law events or university seminars focused on cross-border topics, I’d love to hear about them! _____________________________________________________________ #InternationalLaw #CrossBorderLaw #FutureLawyer #Networking
