What does it take to build a modern training environment for the next generation of skilled workers?   In Tashkent, Uzbekistan, the International Academy of Construction and Technical Professions has opened its doors – a training facility of its kind in the region.   The academy is equipped with solutions from ABICOR GROUP brands such as ABICOR BINZEL and THERMACUT®, supporting hands-on training in welding and cutting. Future specialists will work with technologies such as the iBOT_one® cobot, Soldamatic welding simulators and a CNC machine.   This project was made possible through close collaboration between the ABICOR BINZEL Central Asia team (Timur Kh. Makhanov) and colleagues in Germany. A key step was the visit of the academy’s founder to our sites in Dresden and Buseck, as well as the “Schweißen & Schneiden” trade fair. These exchanges helped build a shared understanding and laid the foundation for the partnership.   During the opening ceremony, the equipment was demonstrated to guests from government, education and industry. The strong interest on site shows the relevance of such training environments for the region.   The video from the opening give a good impression of the atmosphere and the importance of the project.
