First Class Cambridge Economics Graduate | Jardine Scholar
I am grateful to have completed my Economics degree at the University of Cambridge with First Class Honours in all three years. Reading Economics has shaped the way I think, not only through its theoretical rigour, but also through its relevance to real-world questions about markets, policy, and society. While Cambridge has challenged me academically, some of my most formative experiences also took place outside the lecture hall. As Producer of the Cambridge University Chinese Society Variety Show 2024, I helped bring the show to life from scratch — from plot development to venue booking, sponsorships, and rehearsals. Seeing the final production come together was one of my most fulfilling memories at Cambridge. As President of the Cambridge University Hong Kong and China Affairs Society, I organised large-scale events, including a youth conference on Hong Kong’s socio-economic issues and an inter-university quiz competition with over 200 participants from universities across the UK. It was especially meaningful to see how these events helped foster and strengthen connections within the Hong Kong community, even away from home. I am deeply thankful to my Director of Studies, Dr Edoardo Gallo, my supervisors, family, friends, and everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. Looking ahead, I am excited to begin the next chapter at Standard Chartered, where I will be joining the Fund Finance team as part of the Graduate Programme.
