What does it take to be the first electric continent ? At the recent EU Sustainable Energy Week in Brussels, our colleague Paula Iwaniuk participated on a panel discussing Europe`s potential to fulfill this goal and the upfront costs of industrial electrification. Our position is clear: the technology is ready, the payback is fast -months, not years- and electrification and efficiency must go together. Given that grid connections alone take 5–10 years, we do need to close the gap, and scale electrification.
