At Aurubis’ copper production plant in Bulgaria, we are supporting a major upgrade by supplying over 460 high-efficiency motors and 300 drives—replacing aging equipment, reducing energy consumption by 28%, and delivering significant annual energy savings. To illustrate the scale: 25 GWh is equivalent to charging around 13.7 billion smartphones. At the same time, the upgrade improves reliability, reduces operating costs, and achieves a payback period of just 3.5 years.
