Today on National Sunglasses Day, we’re reminded that sometimes all it takes is a different lens to see the world more clearly. At the Albemarle Area United Way, we choose to look at our community through glasses that highlight compassion, dignity, and shared humanity. When we shift our perspective, we see that many of our neighbors are facing challenges we may never experience. And when we truly see them, we’re moved to act. Today, let’s put on a new pair of “glasses” — ones that help us recognize the needs around us and inspire us to lift each other up
