The Albemarle Area United Way is proud to announce the appointment of William A. (Chip) Lewin II to its Board of Directors. A distinguished senior executive leader, Chip brings a wealth of experience in leadership, strategic planning, and community engagement to the organization. Currently serving as a Program Manager at the Aviation Logistics Center, Chip also operates his local consulting business, L&A Strategic Advisors, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to the region's professional and economic landscape. Prior to his current roles, he served in executive leadership positions at Elizabeth City State University following a 28-year career as a U.S. Coast Guard aviator and engineer, which included serving as Commanding Officer of Air Station Elizabeth City and Air Station Sitka. Chip is deeply committed to giving back to the community through extensive volunteerism and board service. In addition to his new role with the Albemarle Area United Way, he has generously offered his time and leadership to numerous local organizations. His extensive board work includes serving with the Elizabeth City Morning Rotary, the Museum of the Albemarle, Green Save Green, the Albemarle YMCA and numerous other organizations in Elizabeth City and other communities throughout his career. His proven history of executive leadership and tireless dedication to service will be an invaluable asset to the Albemarle Area United Way and its ongoing mission to improve lives and strengthen our community.
