A candidate declined our job offer a few months ago to join another company. Unfortunately, her new job didn’t turn out as she had hoped. She reached out to me on LinkedIn to see if the position was still available. Fortunately, it was. I asked her, 'When can you start?' She replied, 'I can give a weeks' notice.' We moved quickly, and onboarded her on new promised date. Declining an offer doesn’t make you a bad candidate. It’s always better to be transparent with recruiters rather than ghosting when rejecting an offer. #corporatelife #hr #hrcommunity
