Mr. Liang Chen framed his presentation around solving four critical challenges: 1️⃣ Quality Perception – Chinese steel has long faced quality concerns. The China–Thailand railway now enables land transport to Southeast Asia in just 4 days. 3️⃣ Compliance & Carbon Tariffs – The company is currently advancing CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) certification, expected to be completed by year-end — addressing a growing concern for exporters. 4️⃣ Certification Bottlenecks – Entering Japanese OEM supply chains is notoriously time‑consuming. Baowu JFE leverages its parent companies' relationships to offer a "three‑pronged" approach: Japan HQ coordination, Chinese supplier expansion, and direct engagement with Southeast Asian plants — plus full‑chain support from qualification audits to small‑batch trials.
