After a year and a half at the Yorkshire Green scheme for National Grid our time there is quickly coming to an end. The amount of work that’s been completed is unbelievable. Incredibly proud of my team for the work we’ve completed together, some of the things completed 👇🏼👇🏼(that’s without what the other gangs have done). •56 span of single araucaria to twin ACCC Leipzig (XC route) L66 towers •14 span new build ACCC Leipzig (XC re route) L8 towers •6 span of new build AAAC Rubus (YN route) L12 towers •27 span of OPGW earth wire •3 separate diversions-XD, XC, XCP •17 towers assembled •15 new permanent towers erected L8 and L12 towers (inc L12 DT, L8 DT, L8 DJT, L8 D90, L12 D25, L8 and L12 suspension towers) •2 temporary towers •2 temporary masts •1 L66 D60 arm replacement 🤨 That’s without all the backstays, conductor removal and felled towers plus everything else that goes with it. Been a pleasure working with the site/office team, the national grid team, the other gangs we’ve worked alongside, CTC and especially Ian Arnold (GF) who deserves a medal overseeing everything. Got to be one of the best jobs I’ve been on for a long time, with such a variety of work it’s one of those jobs that helps take everyone to the next level. Can definitely say we’ve tested the Leipzig conductor to its limits and it’s passed with flying colours. Proof if it’s installed correctly it works. Give us this over GAP any day!! Anyway…. onto some quad to triple
