It’s hard to believe we’re still living in a world where political assassination exists. Charlie Kirk has been shot dead while speaking at a university in Utah. Whether you liked him or not, agreed with him or not, this is a human life cut short, a family destroyed, and a society weakened. What shocks me most is that in 2025 someone walking this planet still believes violence is necessary to silence another person. That an idea, a debate, or a difference of opinion can somehow justify pulling a trigger. We’ve built a world of technology, medicine, travel, and connection that our grandparents could only dream of — yet we still haven’t learned the most basic truth: violence achieves nothing. This should be a line none of us ever cross. Disagreement is healthy. Debate is necessary. But violence? It robs us all. We have to demand more from ourselves, our leaders, and our communities — because the alternative is a world where speaking your mind puts a target on your back. That’s not the society any of us should accept.
