Incredible year for Vanderbilt University's Heart Transplant Team. 2025 finished with 210 heart transplants (193 adults; 17 peds) with 116 DBDs and 94 DCDs. 3 heart/lung transplants. Over 50 DCD hearts transplanted without donor heart pre-implant reanimation. Over 394,000 miles traveled. Incredible teamwork. Grateful to our patients/donors/families. Thank you to all of the OPOs, hospitals, surgeons, anesthesiologists, donor recovery team, residents/fellows, cardiologists, APPs/PAs/NPs, intensivists, nurses, perfusionists, social workers, PT/OT, coordinators, nutritionists, pharmacists, and others. It takes an incredible team to pull this off. Look forward to 2026–a year without DCD heart reanimation and 10C static cold storage? Vanderbilt University Medical Center
