I want to start with a quick apology for the delay in sharing this update—better late than never, right? ☺️ I’m thrilled to share that, as part of the Burnley branch of the Undergraduate Medical Research Society, we successfully hosted our very first event! 🎉   This event was designed to highlight the incredible value of medical research and provide students with practical insights into research papers, frameworks, and techniques. We also shared our personal journeys of getting involved in research outside of our degrees, hoping to inspire others to take part in local and national research opportunities.  It was truly inspiring to see students from different years actively engaging, asking thoughtful questions, and showing such enthusiasm for the research we’re passionate about.  A huge thank you to my amazing committee members, Sankar Vaidyanathan and Varun Shanmugasundaram, for their hard work and dedication in making this event a success. And of course, thank you to everyone who attended—your energy and curiosity made it all worthwhile!  Here’s to many more events that inspire and empower future researchers! 🚀  #MedicalResearch #UndergraduateResearch #Teamwork #StudentEngagement #ResearchCommunity
