Our Public Affairs team was part of a joint effort to prevent catalytic converter thefts. In partnership with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and the Task Force for Regional Auto Theft Prevention (TRAP), more than 130 vehicles received free etching on their windshields and catalytic converters to help deter theft and assist in identifying stolen parts. The event was held at our Los Angeles Main Branch. LAPD officers also provided license plate locks to participants, since license plate theft has increased as a crime trend as well.
