Retrospective Study Demonstrates BSC’s benefits on Quality of Life. We are pleased to share new findings from the retrospective study: “Bilateral Sacrospinous Colposuspension with Sling for Advanced Pelvic Organ Prolapse: Anatomical and Functional Outcomes in a 235-Patient Cohort” conducted by Dr. Irene Sánchez-Urbaneja, Dr. Elisa López-Herrero-Pérez, Dr. Ana Astorga, Mr. Francisco Rivas-Ruiz, Dr. María José Núñez-Matas, Dr. Laura M. Palomar-Sánchez, and Dr. @Raquel Romero-Pérez. In this study, 235 patients had follow ups after undergoing bilateral sacrospinous colposuspension (BSC) for isolated apical pelvic-organ prolapse. The results show statistically significant improvements in quality of life across nearly all evaluated domains, with high patient satisfaction after the follow-up period. These outcomes underscore the enduring value of the BSC procedure—not only in achieving effective anatomical correction, but also in delivering lasting improvements in patient quality of life and overall well-being.
