What does it take to transport oversized cargo 20,000 kilometres across the Pacific? More than just ships and trucks, that's for sure. Transporting oversized breakbulk cargo across continents is about more than just distance. It’s about precision. It’s about international teams working together seamlessly. It’s also about connecting every link in the chain to ensure there are no weak points. This is precisely what our teams in China and Chile achieved for a major energy client who relies on industrial steam boilers manufactured in Henan Province. Over the past year, we coordinated the transport of four disassembled boilers from China to southern Chile. Each shipment involved: 🔸 200 m³ of breakbulk cargo (to Valparaíso) 🔸 Six 40-flat racks (to San Antonio) 🔸 Eight high cube containers 🔸 Direct truck to vessel loading in Qingdao 🔸 Up to 37 days at sea via the Pacific route Our Qingdao operations team managed booking, customs, and tight schedule coordination to ensure seamless vehicle to vessel loading. Upon arrival in Valparaíso and San Antonio, our Chile team handled cargo insurance and onward trucking to the final project sites. This is what global teamwork looks like when every detail matters. Are you curious about how we manage breakbulk projects of this scale? Please find more technical details and insights from our teams in the full story in the first comment.
