Today is #InternationalWomeninEngineeringDay. A few of the people who built the ground we stand on: 1843, wrote the first computer program before there was a computer to run it. 1959, built the first compiler and made programming readable. 1962, calculated the orbital mechanics that put John Glenn around the Earth and brought him back. 1969, wrote the Apollo 11 flight software and coined the term "#SoftwareEngineering." 1972, gave us TF-IDF. Half of modern search and retrieval still rests on this idea. 2009, built ImageNet, the dataset that launched the deep learning era. Diverse perspectives don't just build better #AI. They built AI. At 8th Element, we keep working to honor that lineage in who we hire, who we listen to, and whose problems we choose to solve. #WomenInEngineering #INWED #8thElement Prashanth Kasturi Santosh Rajput SreeRama Evani Raghuram Mylavarapu Rajarshi Sanyal Sai K Mayank Thapliyal Ramesh Paspunuti Tejasree Arun
