John, Senior Director of Operations Accounting Support, discovered his career path early through an unexpected lesson in problem solving. As a teenager working as a cashier in his uncle’s restaurant, a broken cash register required him to manually calculate totals and change. That experience sparked a curiosity about the numbers behind the business, leading him to study accounting, earn his CPA and pursue an MBA at Rutgers University.   John’s career has taken him from Sandvik to Hess, then through Speedway and into 7-Eleven following the 2021 acquisition. Along the way, he embraced complex challenges, including serving as State Government Affairs Manager across 11 states, a role that strengthened his confidence and leadership. Today, John is driven by a mission-first mindset, taking pride in work that supports the broader organization.
