🎓 FROM THE FERRERO MASTER'S PROGRAM TO THE PROFESSIONAL WORLD In this short interview, we meet @Sara, a graduate of the Master's in Innovation in Food Science and Technology – Michele Ferrero. Her story demonstrates how the Master's played an important role in her professional journey, supporting her growth and helping her acquire both the technical and soft skills essential for working in a dynamic, international business environment. «A few months after completing the Ferrero Master’s program, I started working at an industrial bakery specializing in third-party production of bread, pizza, and bakery products. I held a hybrid role between Quality Control and Process Technology, which allowed me to gain hands-on exposure to leavened products and a solid understanding of industrial baking processes. Since March, I have been working at Ferrero as a PTPM – Product Technical Performance Manager, covering a maternity leave. In this role, I am involved in the management of industrial projects related to three key Ferrero products: Kinder Happy Hippo, Kinder Cards, and Nutella B-ready. My work is strongly focused on the industrial perspective, with close collaboration with the Technologist, quality teams, and continuous KPI monitoring to ensure product performance, efficiency, and process stability». What specific skills did you gain from the master’s program that is helping you in this new position? «The master’s program represented a solid and well-structured foundation that enabled me to approach the Ferrero industrial environment, and specifically my role as PTPM in the Biscuits area, with greater awareness and autonomy. The theoretical knowledge acquired allowed me to “take off” professionally, supporting a faster and deeper understanding of industrialization logics, production processes, and project dynamics that are central to my daily activities. In particular, the program helped me develop a structured approach to work, which is essential for managing different project phases, coordinating activities, and respecting timelines». Has the master’s program changed your perspectives on your professional future? «Yes, the master’s program has clearly and positively influenced my perspective on my professional future. It allowed me to develop a broader and more structured understanding of the industrial environment, helping me see how different functions and processes contribute to the overall value of the product. Throughout the program, I gained a deeper awareness of Research & Development and of the importance of being strongly oriented toward product study and continuous improvement. This experience helped me understand that working on the product, improving its characteristics, performance, and quality, is something that truly aligns with who I am and with my professional interests. It clarified what I am genuinely motivated by and what I would like to focus on in my future career». #MasterFerreroGeneration
