Today, we’re introducing 1Password Credential Broker, now in private beta! Modern enterprises depend on a growing mix of employees, CI/CD pipelines, cloud workloads, service accounts, and AI agents that all need credentials to operate, but those credentials are routinely copied into applications, repositories, configuration files, and environment variables where they are hard to govern, rotate, and audit. Credential Broker extends the role of 1Password from storing secrets to securely brokering credentials, tokens, and access artifacts to trusted requesters at the moment they’re needed. Instead of having long-lived secrets sit exposed and ungoverned in tools, environments, and workflows, organizations can keep credentials protected in 1Password and broker them only when approved work needs to happen. Today, we also announced that Apono is joining the 1Password team. Credential Broker and Apono address complementary parts of the same challenge. Credential Broker protects the credentials and Apono governs the actions. Together, they advance our vision for 1Password Unified Access: one platform that secures credentials and governs access across every human, machine, and AI agent identity. 🚀 Learn more: https://bit.ly/4vaf54h
