Revolut is opening a store. Not a bank branch. Definitely not a bank branch. 👀 This got our slack talking this week. Revolut is opening its first physical location in Barcelona, but it's not a traditional branch. It’ll be a “high-visibility, immersive space” designed to engage customers and make financial services more accessible. Why Barcelona? A few reasons as far as we can tell: • Spain is already a major market for Revolut • Barcelona is home to its Southern European tech hub • It’s packed with tourists, expats, digital nomads and international travellers • Spain is digitally sophisticated - but still has a strong relationship with cash and incumbent banks That all makes this move super-interesting. Because this probably isn’t about recreating old-school banking. It’s about identity. Think of it more like an Apple Store for financial services - rather than a place to queue to talk to someone about your overdraft. Want to learn more?
