Last month, .406 partner Graham Brooks joined fellow National Venture Capital Association Board members in Washington, D.C. to make sure the venture community’s voice was heard loud and clear on the Hill. Key topics on the table included: • The DEAL Act – a bipartisan effort to modernize fund structures and strengthen capital formation to support the next generation of innovation. • Qualified Small Business Stock reform –proposals to expand eligibility to better support long-term startup growth. Graham’s 15+ years experience backing pioneering data and AI companies makes him an invaluable advocate for policies that protect and strengthen the US’s venture and entrepreneurial ecosystem. Big thanks to our friends at NVCA for keeping innovation at the forefront of policy discussions by getting Graham and other NVCA Board members in front of SEC Chairman Paul Atkins and the offices of Senators Mike Rounds, Bill Cassidy, Todd Young, Marsha Blackburn, Raphael Warnock, and Pete Ricketts, along with Representatives Pat Fallon, Sam Liccardo, Max Miller, Rudy Yakym, and Jason Smith.
