Position: Applied Scientists Machine Learning (MSc. or PhD)
Type: Contract
Compensation: $60 - $120/hour
Location: Global, fully remote
Commitment: 10 40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and validate machine-learning models and training pipelines
- Implement model components, data pipelines, and numerical methods
- Build reproducible programmatic workflows using Python and command-line tools
- Solve and review complex machine-learning engineering tasks
- Optimize memory usage and throughput in implementations
- Debug numerical or system-level failures in models
- Verify implementations meet correctness and performance requirements
Requirements
- A master s degree or PhD in a quantitative discipline
- Strong professional or research experience in machine learning
- Practical proficiency with Python and coding agents
- Experience in a technology company, AI lab, or research organization
- Familiarity with numerical computing and performance optimization
- Ability to create reproducible training or inference workflows
- Open-source or academic experience may qualify
