SAP BASIS Cloud & BTP Administrator: As an SAP BASIS Cloud Administrator, you will design, maintain, and administer a diverse and critical suite of SAP systems with a primary focus on SAP Cloud technologies and Business Technology Platform (BTP). In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical execution, translating needs into robust configurations, security rules, and system constraints.
Working within an international, highly distributed, and multi-functional team, you will establish and enforce global SAP administration standards while ensuring the absolute availability, performance, and stability of our production and non-production landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Cloud & BTP Administration
- Perform initial administrative setups, provisioning, and sub-account management within SAP BTP.
- Manage, configure, and secure SAP Cloud Connector architectures to enable seamless onpremise to cloud integrations.
- Administer and support key SAP Cloud Products including S/4HANA Public Cloud, SAP Cloud ALM, and Identity Authentication Services (IAS).
- Guide technical and functional teams through the SAP Cloud onboarding journey, assisting in initial setups, configurations, and post-go-live support.
Systems Engineering & Operations
- Define, implement, and enforce "Golden Rules" and best practices for SAP administration and role management across cloud environments.
- Proactively monitor, perform deep root-cause analyses, execute tracing, and drive continuous performance improvements across all SAP landscapes.
- Identify gaps in cloud administration procedures and propose innovative automation to optimize daily operations.
- Manage and execute technical upgrades, system copies, and patching cycles for cloud and hybrid products.
Business Translation & Collaboration
- Understand the overarching technical architecture and business processes of a complex enterprise SAP landscape (including integrations with custom domains and middleware like Cloud Integration/CPI).
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders and international business units to translate functional requirements into reliable, secure technical solutions.
- Act as a customer-facing technical consultant, comfortably engaging with European customers and global teams to gather requirements and present technical solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Core Experience: 4 to 7 years of total experience in SAP BASIS, with at least 4+ years dedicated to SAP BASIS, BTP, and Cloud Administration.
- Cloud Product Expertise: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience running and maintaining SAP Cloud Products such as:
- SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) / Identity Advisory Group (IAG)
- S/4HANA Cloud (Public/Private)
- SAP Cloud ALM
- BTP Knowledge: Mandatory deep knowledge of SAP BTP Sub-account management, Entitlements, Destinations, and User Management.
- Integration & Security: Direct experience in administering SAP Cloud Connector, managing SSL certificates, custom domain routing, and SAP Security & Authorizations.
