As part of its continued European expansion, Speedy.io is strengthening its presence in Lithuania and is seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the continued growth of its Lithuanian operations while contributing to the wider strategic direction and expansion of the Group across multiple European markets.
Reporting directly to the Shareholders and Executive Board, the CEO will provide strategic leadership, drive sustainable commercial growth and ensure the business continues to operate to the highest standards of governance, regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
The Opportunity
This is an Executive Board appointment offering the opportunity to lead the continued expansion of Speedy.io's Lithuanian branch while contributing to the strategic leadership and growth of the wider Group across multiple European jurisdictions.
Working closely with the Executive Board and senior leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, strengthening regulatory and banking relationships, expanding the company's acquiring, IBAN issuing and transaction banking capabilities, and supporting the long-term success of Speedy.io across Lithuania, Poland and other European markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the company's long-term strategic vision and business growth plan.
- Lead the continued expansion and development of Speedy.io's Lithuanian operations.
- Contribute to the strategic leadership and growth of the wider Group across multiple European markets, including Poland.
- Drive commercial growth across acquiring, IBAN issuing, transaction banking and payment infrastructure.
- Build and strengthen relationships with regulators, banking partners, card schemes, shareholders and strategic partners.
- Lead the overall financial and commercial performance of the business.
- Ensure the organisation operates in full compliance with all applicable regulatory and governance requirements.
- Develop and lead a high-performing Executive Leadership Team.
- Work closely with the Executive Board and senior leadership to deliver strategic objectives and organisational growth.
- Represent the company with regulators, investors, banking partners, payment schemes and other key external stakeholders.
- Support the continued expansion and integration of Speedy.io's operations across multiple European jurisdictions.
- Identify new commercial opportunities, strategic partnerships and market expansion initiatives across Lithuania, Poland and international markets.
Requirements
- Proven executive leadership experience as a CEO, Managing Director, Country Manager or Executive Board Member within fintech, payments or a regulated financial institution.
- Demonstrated experience leading a licensed Payment Institution (PI), Electronic Money Institution (EMI), payment processor, acquiring business, IBAN issuing provider or regulated bank.
- Proven track record of delivering commercial growth and scaling regulated financial services businesses.
- Strong strategic, commercial and organisational leadership capabilities.
- Experience working directly with financial regulators, Executive Boards and shareholders.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Professional proficiency in Lithuanian and English, with the ability to communicate confidently with regulators, banking partners and senior stakeholders.
- Must have the legal right to live and work in Lithuania without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Executive leadership experience across acquiring, IBAN issuing, transaction banking or payment infrastructure.
- Experience working with Visa, Mastercard, banking partners or payment infrastructure providers.
- Experience leading multi-country operations or supporting international expansion within regulated financial services.
- Strong understanding of EU payments regulation, governance and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience building and scaling regulated financial services businesses across multiple jurisdictions.
