The opportunity

At Hitachi Energy, you will help build the HVDC converter stations that support the Dutch energy transition. As a Site Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor, you ensure safe and high‑quality installation of mechanical and electrical systems on site. You work closely with the Civil Construction Manager, the site team, subcontractors, and engineering partners.

In this role, you guide daily installation work, solve technical challenges, and keep activities aligned with project timelines. You help maintain high safety and quality standards and support the smooth execution of complex HVDC projects. You will grow your skills in leadership, site coordination, and multidisciplinary project execution while contributing to a sustainable energy future.

This job is ideal for someone who enjoys working on site, coordinating people, and ensuring technical excellence in demanding project environments.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • You supervise mechanical and electrical installation activities on site.
  • You plan daily work and align tasks with overall project schedules.
  • You check installation quality and resolve non‑conformities quickly.
  • You enforce strong safety and environmental standards across the site.
  • You prepare and review ITPs, ITRs, reports, and daily documentation.
  • You coordinate red‑marked drawings with subcontractors and engineering.
  • You solve issues proactively and work closely with key stakeholders.
  • You keep communication clear with project managers, engineers, and partners.

Your background

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • You have experience supervising mechanical and electrical installation work.
  • You understand installation methods, technical drawings, and relevant codes.
  • You work safely and follow all health and safety regulations.
  • You solve problems effectively and communicate clearly.
  • You are willing to travel and work on site as needed.
