About The Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and execution-focused Supply Chain Manager to oversee end-to-end supply chain operations for our retail business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal inventory availability across stores and warehouses while maintaining high service levels, minimizing inventory costs, and driving operational efficiency. This role requires close collaboration with merchandising, buying, planning, warehouse operations, logistics, finance, and retail teams to ensure seamless product availability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supply Planning and Inventory Management:
- Supply & Inventory Planning: Develop data-driven supply plans to maintain target metrics, including Days on Hand (DOH) and Days of Cover (DOC). Mitigate stock-outs and slow-moving inventory to optimize working capital.
- Demand & Replenishment: Partner with merchandising and planning to align supply with demand forecasts. Manage replenishment cycles for stores and warehouses, ensuring readiness for seasonal shifts, promotions, and new launches.
- Vendor & Logistics Management: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement. Monitor supplier performance against SLAs (lead times, fill rates) and manage inbound/outbound logistics to improve dispatch and receiving efficiency.
- Retail Operations Support: Plan inventory allocation based on store performance, Minimum Base Quantity (MBQ), and sales trends. Manage inter-store transfers and support new store launches.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Actively participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings. Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives alongside Buying, Retail Operations, and Finance teams.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Operational Metrics: OTIF (On Time In Full).
- Financial and Planning Metrics: Working Capital Improvement, Inventory Turnover and Aging, Forecast Accuracy, Logistics and Carrying Costs.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Education: MBA or PGDM in Operations/Supply Chain is highly preferred.
- Experience: 4-5 years of supply chain experience in retail, FMCG, e-commerce, fashion, beauty, or consumer goods. Proven experience managing multi-location retail operations.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, advanced formulas). Hands-on experience with ERP systems and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is preferred.
- Core Competencies: Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and key business metrics, including demand forecasting, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), inventory optimization, replenishment strategies, and end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
