Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Location: Claremont, CA

Pay Rate: $25-$30/hr

Schedule: M - F, 8 - 5 HYBRID - 2 days Mon and Wed in office.

Temp - 3 months or more

Experience: 3-5 years

SOP/Checklist Payroll Process - REQUIRED

Workday / ADP payroll system - will train

Duties:

Assist with backend Payroll processing, batches, balancing hours, pay counts, printing pay checks, reconciling payroll using VLOOKUP using Workday Software.

Daily - NOC notification from financial institution (Wells Fargo) deactivate the invalid accounts from employee file.

Weekly - Create direct deposit pre-note integration file.

Monthly - Perform internal billing.

Update payroll internal processing forms. Create Workday and Kronos SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)

Print off-cycle checks as requested in addition to all entity's payroll checks and advices.

Requirements:

AA or bachelor's degree in accounting or another relevant field.

Full cycle payroll processing

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with proven strong skills in Excel.

Familiarity working with an HRIS, preferably Workday, an electronic timekeeping system, and cloud-based systems

Communicate relevant information clearly and concisely in a timely manner in English in written and verbal form.

Proficiency in various accounting software systems and other information technology, and the ability to learn new software.

Must be able to work a Hybrid schedule

Must be able to pass a background check
