Scrum Master / Business Analyst

About the Role
We are seeking a hybrid Scrum Master / Business Analyst to support agile delivery teams while bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role blends agile facilitation with requirements gathering and process analysis, ensuring both smooth sprint execution and well-defined, business-aligned deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Scrum Master Functions
- Facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog refinement)
- Remove impediments and coach teams on agile/Scrum best practices
- Track and report sprint metrics (velocity, burndown, throughput)
- Foster continuous improvement and team self-organization
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies and manage risks to sprint commitments
Business Analyst Functions
- Elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements from stakeholders
- Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation
- Conduct gap analysis between current and future state processes
- Support UAT planning and execution
- Act as liaison between business units, product owners, and development teams
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years combined experience in Scrum Master and/or Business Analyst roles
- Strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks (CSM, PSM, or equivalent preferred)
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements (user stories, process maps, BRDs)
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar ATS/agile tooling
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, certification/credentialing, or nonprofit/association environments
- Familiarity with testing/assessment platforms or regulatory/compliance-driven workflows
- Scrum Master certification (CSM/PSM) and/or BA certification (CBAP/CCBA)
